Hemingways Ol Seki new infinity pool is complete and open for use.
The brand-new infinity pool is all ran entirely off-grid by the lodge’s solar farm. With some of the best views in the Mara overlooking a beautiful watering hole and the Koiyaki plains, Hemingways Ol Seki Mara’s new pool will be the perfect vantage point for game viewing from the comfort of a lounger or a deck chair, with G&T in hand.
Maintaining Ol Seki’s character, charm and authenticity, the new pool was built into the rock – traditionally common sunbathing spots for the lodge’s friendly rock hyrax – offering a calm and peaceful retreat, tucked below the main camp.
The new area will be an oasis of luxury for guests to soak up the sun and recharge in between game drives, while the beautiful new fire pit and seating area will be an ideal and rather magical spot for those traditional evening Mara sundowners.

Its the moment you have all been waiting for – Hemingways Watamu rates have just been released! Due to open in the last quarter of 2017, the building works are going well and are expected to complete on time.
We have also issued 2018 rates for Hemingways Nairobi and Ol Seki Hemingways Mara and are delighted to confirm that there is no rate increase from 2017!

Hemingways Watamu rack rates 2018
The property will be transformed into a 39 room luxury boutique hotel, all with exceptional sea views of the Indian Ocean, together with a private residential development on the seafront comprising 15 luxury apartments. Substantial upgrades and renovations will also be made to the communal areas including the restaurant, bars, reception, swimming pools, spa and gym with emphasis placed on optimizing the famous views of the Watamu Marine Park and exquisite landscaping throughout.
As a result of the redevelopment, Hemingways Watamu will be closed from April 18th 2016. The project is planned to last 18 months and we expect to receive new bookings from October 2017 onward. We look forward to sharing more information and detail on the project in due course and hope that you’ll be as excited as we are at the results.
Ol Seki Hemingways Mara has been refurbished!
All our Nina tents, family tents, the library tent and the dining tent have been replaced with stunning new canvas tents. The spacious and luxurious size has been retained.
