Savanna’s beautiful lounge refurbishment

Savanna’s Main lodge has just recently undergone an upgrade of facilities, including a new beautiful wine cellar and extended bar area that better showcases what is on offer. Savanna offers its guests a wonderful selection of standout South African house wines to enjoy during their stay. The beautifully appointed wine cellar stocks these house wines, as well as a handpicked selection of exclusive wines for the wine connoisseurs, or wine curious. Private tastings can be made on request.

The lounge seating areas have also been redesigned and extended to create more elegant and inviting places for our guests to relax and socialise. 

Behind the scenes our butler’s have improved and more workable space for the coffee station. And lastly we have elevated the gift shop by adding a clothing section and fitting room.

Introducing Dulini Daunara, Okavango Delta, Botswana

Daunara Safari Camp, set in Botswana’s remarkable Okavango Delta, has officially joined the Dulini portfolio.

This is a meaningful milestone for Dulini. At its core, Dulini is about crafting exceptional safari experiences while supporting conservation and the communities surrounding its lodges. Expanding into the Okavango Delta allows this work to continue in one of Africa’s most extraordinary wilderness regions.

Daunara marks the beginning of Dulini Botswana, and we’re truly excited about what lies ahead.

Dulini has taken on full operational responsibility for the camp, from guest experience and day-to-day operations to overall brand direction. The intention is to thoughtfully build on what already exists, while introducing the same care, attention to detail, and understated luxury that define the Dulini experience.

We are delighted to unveil the refreshed Hemingways Collection brand, with updated logos, colours, and a visual identity uniting all six properties. This new chapter also introduces Hemingways Retreat Kigali in Rwanda and Hemingways River Camp, an additional camp in the Maasai Mara previously known as Richards River Camp. At the heart of this refresh is our new tagline Every Stay a Story, an invitation to experience moments beyond luxury, made to stay with you.

More than a refreshed look, this marks a renewed commitment to creating experiences that are original, authentic and truly unforgettable. In this update, you’ll also find our 2026 rates for Kenya, now featuring Hemingways River Camp with its new offerings, including pay/stay promotions and dedicated honeymoon offers. Introducing Hemingways Eden Nairobi

We are delighted to announce the addition of Hemingways Eden to the Hemingways Collection portfolio of boutique hotels. With effect from 1st November 2022, we are taking over the management of Eden Nairobi, the boutique hotel set on a four acre plot bordering the Giraffe Sanctuary in Nairobi. With just 9 keys, Hemingways Eden offers an escape from the bustling city of Nairobi and is one of the most unique getaways in Africa, built and designed by artists Tonio and Anna Trzebinski, originally as a family home. Hemingways Eden will become a key part of our portfolio and will be managed with the same professionalism and diligence as our other properties. Substantially different in physical character to Hemingways Nairobi and originally a family home, we believe that Hemingways Eden lends itself to hosting small groups and families and our exclusive use rate structure supports that philosophy. 

As we take over the management of Eden, we want to assure our partners that we will be doing everything possible to ensure a smooth and successful transition. In the immediate term we are not making any substantial changes to the property but hope to make certain investments in 2023 to improve the guest experience and will keep you informed of those plans.
